I am so proud of them

There was another Chess tournament today ok yesterday, damn time change its not 3:05 and 10 minutes ago it was 1:55. Ok back on track. The small one was team captain and won(ok tied) his last game, which for him is awesome. He has been in 4 tourny and hasn't won or tied yet. Its ok because he is still young and I don't think fully gets the concept. The big holy smokes was on fire today. It was a team tournment and the big one is 4th grade and the only one in his group so he had to move up to the 8th grade and under for team. You can move up but not down. So he played 2 rounds, because there were 6 players, so 2 kids only played 2 round each and for the big one it payed off. I hoped this helped him since he hasn't been doing so well the last soupled tournys.

On a side note I got three rows done on my tweety quilt which is big since its a queen size quilt I will post pictures laster today hopefully. I CANNOT wait until it is done.

long, long weekend!!

The boys' had a chess tournament this weekend. We went down there saturday morning, stayed the night and came back yesterday. This tournament is weird they have set times for the rounds and 6 rounds. So we were at the school from about 8am until 530 saturday, then 830 to 130 sunday. After Saturday's rounds we went to get some food, went to the hotel, then went swimming. When we first got to the pool nobody was there, the hot tub was nice, but the pool was freezing. We stayed an hour. By the time we got back to the room I was not feeling well, but morning I was not doing well. I barely made it driving the hour and a half home. Within a half hour I was asleep and woke up with a headache that I still have. The boys' did not do well in the tournament. They each won 1 game and lost 5. We have another one this coming saturday so hopefully they can do better.

Tonight is a busy night, The big one has band practice, then they both have boy scouts. I'm thinking pizza for dinner lol.

Chess Tournament this weekend!!!

We are going to be out of town this weekend. We have to be up at the butt crack of dawn. 6AM. We will be staying in a hotel tomorrow and then be back sometime sunday. Thankfully the hotel has wireless internet. but the kid will probably want to go to the pool. since its cold as heck and they can swim my little fish. so we going to bed very early so I can stay awake and drive the hour and a half lol.
